BROOKLIN AND THE 1956 PACKARD PATRICIAN
Posted by BROOKLIN MODELS
The standard 1956 Packard Patrician (BRK66) was released in November 1997 and deleted in January 2005. It is finished in blue grey metallic with red interior, black license plate and whitewall tyres. It features a large silver side trim, an aerial and a door mirror. A light blue grey metallic color variation exists.
BROOKLIN COLLECTORS CLUB
The Club’s 2003 special was supposed to be less elaborate than their 2002 multi-piece special set, something simple for the factory to produce. So how about a two-tone 1956 Packard Patrician in Scottish heather with Dover white roof and lower body panels? There’s nothing simple about this beauty! The two-tone color scheme is continued into the interior, although done in matte finish. The steering wheel is white and gauges are silver. This Club Special version of the Packard Patrician has added details of plated door handles, windshield wipers and antenna base. License plate is done in red, tyres are whitewall, but the center badge in red is missing from the full wheel covers. The box insert indicates that only 250 of this special model were commissioned by the B.C.C. but the baseplate strangely indicates “BCC 2003 1 of 240”.
