MODELEX
The 2000 model was the 1947 Ford V8 Station Wagon. It's not green or even two-tone green, but it is finished in Ford's maize yellow, with matte black roof and beige interior and the colors do an excellent job of highlighting the outstanding wood panelling. There is no advertising on the body, but the third seat has been replaced with a brown trunk imprinted "Modelex 2000 International" on both sides and "N.M.M. Solihull 14-15 October 00" imprinted on the rear of the trunk. The model run was a total of only 200.
FACTORY SPECIAL
In 2014 Brooklin Models marked its 40th Anniversary by releasing four special models reflecting the history of the American styling and design, calling them the Ruby Collection. In November 2014 the 3rd special was produced, a 1947 Ford V8 Station Wagon. It is finished in ruby red with tan interior, yellow license plate and whitewall tyres. The sides look very different from the original model because they are made of a wooden frame and dark brown adhesives for the door panels. The license plate reads “Anniversary BRK83X” and a silver plate on the base says “40th Anniversary Special”. The model comes in a special black leatherette box embossed in silver. Models chosen by the factory to represent four decades of American automobile classics were: BRK187X 1939 Nash Ambassador 8 Touring Sedan, BRK83X 1947 Ford V8 Station Wagon, BRK183X 1955 Chrysler Windsor Convertible, BRK166X 1960 Chevrolet Impala 4-Door Sport Sedan. Only 300 pieces were made.
