A Van version was launched in 1982. Not as an Austin but badged Morris. The last new vehicle released under the Morris name.
The Metro van would eventually replace the successful Mini van.
By 1985 the Metro van was updated and rebadged the Austin Metro 310.
The Morris brand was eventually abandoned in 1987.
