This rare Cadillac V16 limousine was originally delivered in 1938 to the noblewoman Countess Rosario de Larraechea de Schiffner. Upon the death of the Countess the Cadillac was willed to Cardinal Spellman, a dear friend and advisor to President Roosevelt. The Cardinal gladly accepted the limousine and commissioned it to the Vatican Motor Pool. In the new prestigious role this imposing car was frequently used by Pope Pius XII on particularly important occasions. In May 1961 it was reserved to Her Majesty the Queen Elisabeth II for the solemn Royal visit to the Vatican.
Brooklin Models created these models using reference from the original Vatican Limousines that have been lovingly restored to running condition. These 1:43 scale models are exclusively produced in white metal, hand spray painted and hand assembled.
These individually numbered models have been created for the VATICAN MUSEUMS and are packaged in special MUSEI VATICANI boxes.
