MODELEX
This 1959 Mercury Commuter was released in October 1999 as the Modelex 99 show special done in pale green with dark metallic green roof. Ray Strutt chose to leave decals off the doors so as not to detract from the body lines of this Mercury. Lettering on the upper margin of the front fenders reads "Solihull nr. B’ham 16-17 Oct 99" in gold script, but the Modelex decal is confined to the right half of the tailgate. It’s quite an understatement, as this model marked the 10th Anniversary of the Modelex shows. Only 210 pieces were produced.
