CANADIAN TOY COLLECTORS SOCIETY

The introduction of the 1957 Mercury Turnpike Cruiser coincided with the release of the 1988 C.T.C.S. show special, a 1957 Monarch Turnpike Cruiser. This special version was commissioned for the 17th Annual C.T.C.S. show that was held in Toronto, Canada in October 1988. The 1957 Mercury was modified into a 1957 Monarch, sold by Ford dealers in Canada, done in metallic dark blue and featured a unique front grille with single headlights. The decals on the back sides show “MONARCH”. Only 450 pieces were produced with "C.T.C.S. 1988 - 1 of 450" engraved on the base.
