BROOKLIN AND THE 1947 CADILLAC DERIES 62 CONVERTIBLE

The standard 1947 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible (BRK74) was released in December 1998 and deleted in January 2005. It is finished in an elegant dark shade of cavern green. Seats are done in a medium mint green, with door panels and floor in still another shade of dark green. The dash is done in leather brown, with radio panel in chrome and the tonneau boot is medium grey. Chrome detailing abounds on this model, from the blacked out egg-crate grille to the winged hood ornament, rocker panels and stone guards, finishing with the Cadillac badge on the trunk lid. Full disc wheel covers have a nice detail touch of paint and the license plates are done in red. It was preceded in the same year by the C.T.C.S. special.

CANADIAN TOY COLLECTORS SOCIETY

The 20th annual Brooklin special commissioned by C.T.C.S. was a top-up 1947 Cadillac 62 Convertible. As in several times in the past, C.T.C.S. premiered this new addition to the Brooklin Collection. Body color is an authentic pale grey with dark grey top and red interior. Steering wheel is done in white and license plates read “ONTARIO CTCS 98”. Only 300 of these models were produced with “C.T.C.S. ’98 1 OF 300” cast in base.

CADILLAC CLUB

Jeff Timme owns a toy company in Texas called Friendswood Toys, specialized in Cadillac toys. He had the idea of a special model produced for the Cadillac LaSalle Club, Grand National Meet in Santa Clara, California in June 1999. He contacted Brooklin Models and they agreed to his idea. However, the time was not enough to do it and the Cadillac Club never authorized this model. Only 200 of these all black Cadillac were produced.
