It must have been the graceful and regular shapes, the soft and at the same time incisive design that decreed the victory of the model of the factory founded by Giovan Battista Farina, who came to him affectionately nicknamed “the signorina” (the young lady).
The Giulietta Spider was initially launched only on the American market, where that harmonious design that exuded artistic culture and that brand full of so many sporting laurels was a symbol of a “different way of life”. It was a sensation, in fact, to see these small cars (very often white) from Milan circulating through the avenues of New York.
In Italy, the spider (mainly all the Alfa Romeo) became a phenomenon of costume. But he Giulietta was not reduced to an arid status symbol: like every Alfa Romeo, this car was not taken away from the world of racing (remember a 12-hour Sebring in 1960) and the world of competitions.
