PRODUCT INFORMATION

Jensen’s Interceptor first appeared in convertible form in 1950 and the saloon appeared shortly after. Produced in small numbers from 1950 to 1957 the Interceptor used an Austin Sheerline engine fitted to a modified and extended Austin A70 chassis. With a top speed of 95 mph the Interceptor was no slouch by the standards of the day. Body styling was by Eric Neale. Less than 90 saloons and convertibles were built. Austin’s A40 Sports closely echoed the styling of the Interceptor and is similarly rare today.
